Summary

Hungary's new strategy, adopted by government decision in March 2025, replaces the 2013 strategy and is linked to a 2025-2030 national action plan; it must be reviewed by 2030. It aims at cyber resilience, consolidating the national structure of incident response and security operations centres, and developing proactive defence capabilities. It promotes trust-based information sharing, research including on AI, certification of ICT products and services in critical sectors, and awareness, with targets for schools by 2026-2027.
